What is Strategic Ecology?
What can I do everyday to help the ecosystem I live in? The answer to this is another question: What can I do everyday to make my own life more healthy? The answer to both of these:

Strategic Ecology is a pro-active alternative to the negativity and shaming that’s too often associated with both sides of environmental controversies. Society actually doing good for all life on earth necessitates a much deeper social-cultural change then simply enforcing strict new environmental and economic laws. The root of it is how we understand the difference between right and wrong inside ourselves. How we reconcile our own personal dishonesty and denial with the massive life-denying events that the earth is currently undergoing?
OLYecology wants to create a world where all humans share the commonality of restoring and protecting the earth's ecology. And it's gonna take a tricky strategy to get everyone willing to live in that kind of world. Strategic Ecology focuses on how our inner-sense of well-being is the same as the desire to share this state of well-being with others. An honest genuine sense of personal well-being is the most significant resource we can share with our living earth. Therefore, the strategic objective is to limit the ways we share fear, death, negativity, and expand the ways we share affection, excitement and joy.
Up till now dedicated eco-advocates have been quick to get burned out when they overindulge in the mechanism of forecasting doom and gloom in order to elicit citizen action. Why not a more strategic way? Why not: creative expression, positive emotional-physical-mental experiences, helping others, even the act of healing and being healed? It's all about trying new ways of discovering and developing our own unique abilities. This doesn't mean we stop educating others about the dire path earth's ecology is taking, it means that as we teach we have a contagious sense of inner-peace, personal strength, power.
